Hello,
i want to buy a graphic card in the 100usd price range. I wanted to know if amd 5770 is still a good card after 4 years of its launch ? i mean will it be able to handle games like far cry 3 and bf3 at around 40 fps on a 1440 x 900 res? its comparatively cheaper than nvidia gtx 550 ti and amd 6770. What to do ?
the only option i have for 5770 is powercolour 5770 1gb ddr5.

confi:
mobo : DG35EC
proc : core 2 duo e7300 2.66ghz
ram : 4gb ddr2 transcend
hdd : 500gb seagate
integrated gpu : intel gma x3500 ( of no use! )

* i wont be using hdmi (atleast for 2 yrs) :(

As far as I know 5770 is same as 6770 which was only a rebadge. So you will be good to go. Do look for some benchmarks and gaming performances of this card. Its a great card and should perform well. I have very less information about the 550ti so will leave that to a expert to comment on

It's still an okay card, and it's the same as a 6770 as mentioned. But for a similar price you can now get the 7770 (don't know if you can get one or not) which is better. If the 5770 is the only card you can get though it isn't bad.
