I´m trying to run the game Hitman-codename 47 but the system reboots right
after i pick up the guns at the beggining of the game. I´ve alread tryed to
update the video drivers with several different types of drivers but it´s
still not functioning. I also tried to run the dxdiag and the system passes
ok by the directdraw test but it crashes at the direct3d test. I was figuring
if the directx 9 is not complient with the directx 7. Alread don´t know what
else can I do. Please, help.

Install the latest update for the game.

Eventhough I "own" an original CD, I also need to run this game with a NOCD
check patch.

Hi Rick,

Since your system reboots when testing DirectX, I don't think
the game itself is at fault. A STOP error is causing the restart.

To stop this behavior go to Control Panel / System / Advanced /
Click the Startup and Recovery Settings button / Uncheck the box
labelled "Automatically restart" under the System Failure section.

To analyze the error, try the steps in: http://aumha.org/win5/kbestop.htm

If the error indicates a file name that begins with ati, or nv (nVidia)
the most likely solution would be to install the latest drivers using
the instructions at: http://mvps.org/nibblesnbits/Video.html#drivers
** Make sure to follow all the troubleshooting steps on that page
though Rick, since simply updating drivers hasn't worked before.
