Hi guys, I'm needing advice on finalizing my new computer build I have been going over this build for months changing, editing, modifying. I just can't set my sights and stay there. I will be finalizing purchase on this build in roughly two weeks. Hopefully on the 15th of Feb.
Several things I want from this build.
1. Gaming @ (as close as possible to) 120+ FPS/120hz @ 1080p
2. SLI/Xfire as trouble free as possible
3. I am not afraid of overclocking to achieve my requirements.
4. My budget is roughly 2700-3400$. The lower the better.
5. I will not be using nv3D (glasses on top of my prescription glasses, no thanks)
6. I want this PC to last 2-3 years and stay in the 120fps range (YES I WILL LOWER AA/SHADOWS etc as required to keep my fps as time goes on, however want to ULTRA BF3, FARCRY 3, Guild Wars 2, SWTOR.....and the list goes on and on and on)
CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor

Now where I need the help is determining what video cards also a nudge in the right direction on the motherboard would be great too. (if I go the 690 route I wouldn't be opposed to a single slot PCI-e 3.0, but I have to make sure the sound card will fit in an x1)
I have looked at everything from Nvidia and ATI
2x660ti, 2x670's, 2x680's, 1x690
2x7950, 2x7970, 2x7970ghz, 1x7990
I just cant decide. I also have to watch power limitations of my 750w power supply. I have 62A on a single rail @ 744w max.
2x7950 is excellent for price, as well as the 2x670's. However the Nvidia are a little better at power management. I really dont want to have to buy a new PSU. I have read excellent things about the 7970's in Xfire and the 7970GHZ's and Im not afraid to overclock. I just want to stay as far above 120fps as possible @ 1080p. The 690 appeals because of low power consumption vs xfire/sli and the single slot it uses although the price point is a bit higher, its only 10$ above 2x7970ghz.
HELP, I'm going in circles again. Any information from people who use these setups, or can help with pointing me in the right direction will be wonderful.
