Gigabyte gtx 660 or sapphire hd 7850 oc

iam building my gaming pc;i have researched a lot for a gpu and have shortlisted these two gpus...

which one of these two should i choose.......

I didn't look at prices, and excluding that, the 660 gtx is a better card in terms of performance, features, drivers, etc.

It depends on what games you will be playing. If you will be playing Battlefield 3 or games that are designed to work better with Nvidia cards then you want to get the 660. If you plan on playing games like WoW, LoL, other games you are going to want to purchase the 7850.

Isn't the GTX660 $100 more than a 7850? At least on Newegg. You should be comparing the HD7950 (which overclocks like a champ).

I would get a HD7950 over the GTX660. PS. WOW that HD7850 is SO OVERPRICED!!!! Are there any other stores you can order from?

He's in india and the prices are the same, so the 660 gtx is better, as for the 7950, we could also recommend a 660ti or 670 gtx and say the same, then another comes in and says the 7970 is better and the next one says a 670 sli setup will be even better,etc.

iam thinking of buying that gigabyte gtx 660.....its really cheap as compared to other gtx 660s in our market.

but the price is so low (as compared to other 660s) that iam starting to guess theres some kind of problem with this model of card......

The gigabyte is an excellent brand(top 3 best brands of gfx cards), and if you can't find anything cheaper, just get the 660 gtx its' better than the 7850 at the same price, and you should not get that chance go by if it's the cheaper 660 gtx on the market being a gigabyte windforce 2x.

The GTX 660 is just slightly better than the HD7850 and for about the same price. However, the HD7850 handles gaming on a high resolution just a bit better. Overall, the GTX 660 is a better card. I would recommend the one that Gigabyte manufacture.

I would vote for Gigabyte's GTX 660 too. either its driver or manufacturing process is more mature

I just got my new Gigabyte GTX 660 2gb OC and I`m very happy... It is better than the 7850 for sure, not by a huge margin but still better!

For I.E: I`m running FarCry 3 in Ultra settings @ 1680x1050 and I really like the OC Guru 2 software I got with it... Not going to use MSI AB!!!
