Hello and welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums.

That Aspire was made only for Windws 7 and even a Vista driver won't work on that wireless chip. Broadcom are no help either but I remain convinced there must be an answer to this but I'm afraid I haven't found it yet.

You could buy a cheap USB wireless dongle to use instead.
