Help with a new computer.

Hello, I'm looking for a new computer, however I'm not the best with some of this stuff. I'm looking for a computer from bestbuy, and I have a budget of around $450-500. I'm mainly looking for a computer that will play Black Ops 2, Minecraft, and some other Call of Duty games. I was originally looking at this (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/HP+-+Pavilion+Desktop+-+6GB+Memory+-+1TB+Hard+Drive/6835576.p?id=1218809255253&skuId=6835576#tab=specifications) computer, however after looking at some reviews I was worried the graphics card would not support BO2. Another thing to note is that I don't need anything but a tower, I have a monitor, mouse, and all that stuff already. Any help is really appreciated, thanks! :)

  1. That's not a great GPU.

The most important question in a build of this budget is whether or not you already have a copy of Windows, because an OEM version costs about $100. I'll show you one that doesn't include Windows, since it'll be pretty tough to get a gaming PC for under $500.

    Without Windows: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/B9P0

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

    CPU: Intel Core i3-3220 3.3GHz Dual-Core Processor ($123.79 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: ASRock H77M Micro ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($69.99 @ Newegg)
    Memory: Kingston HyperX Blu 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1333 Memory ($39.99 @ Microcenter)
    Storage: Seagate Barracuda 500GB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($52.00 @ Compuvest)
Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1GB Video Card ($106.98 @ SuperBiiz)
Case: Cooler Master Elite 430 ATX Mid Tower Case ($39.99 @ Newegg)
    Power Supply: XFX 550W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($65.99 @ Amazon)

Thanks, and I don't own a version of windows. I don't plan on building a computer at the moment, just because I've NEVER touched the inside of a computer and I don't want to risk losing money if I break something or do something wrong. :p

Thanks, just wanted to make sure it'd fit my needs. :)
  4. No problem buddy! Its hard to beat Trinity for gaming rigs on a budget. I think theyre much stronger than people give them credit for. Plus fm2 socket will give you the option to upgrade when the next gen rolls out, supposedly.
