I3-3220 integrated graphics and Civ V

I'm stuck running the integrated graphics on my i3-3220 and an ASUS P8H77-V LE. Everything on my PC seems to run fine though.
Civ V Gods and Kings at 1920x1080 with everything turned to the absolute minimum setting or off if possible still isn't playable. It moves so slow that just to get through turn one would be longer than I care to wait.
Is this right or is something wrong with my system.
