Antec VP450 is a Dual 12V rail (18A@+12V on both) where as CX430 is with single 12V rail (28A@+12V), you can see which one is better and why?

Well the VP450 has 30a single rail and then protection to prevent more then 18 amps(more then likely trips at 20amps) from being pulled from each "virtual" rail. This was done for safety and to meet the ATX spec.

Now we have a video card that needs 7 amps TOTAL. and it can get at least 6 of that from the motherboard.

I think it is all good. 90% of the time the card will be able to get all it needs from the pci-e slot.

This is not a high powered system.

If i can run a 5770(takes more power then a 7770, now I have a gtx 650 ti on it) on this(14 and 16 amps and a combined of 22 amps), then the VP450 OR Corsair's offerings are plenty. :)

Hi - don't think there's a need to be alarmed about the cx430, there is nonetheless
a cautionary note on Tom's Hardware recommended PSU's:

420-480W

Antec VP450
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6817371045
FSP built, 30 amps 12V power, $40 2yr warranty

Rosewill RG430 S12 430W
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6817182202
ATNG built. 33 amps 12V power. $45 2yr warranty

Corsair CX430 V2 (longevity and safety of this PSU has been called into question)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6817139026
CWT made. 28 amps 12V power (just like the ea-380D). $45 3 yr warranty
I prefer the Rosewill given same prices

Rosewill Capstone 450W
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6817182066
Superflower made - 80Plus GOLD - Excellent quality - 37 amps 12V power. $60 FIVE YEAR warranty
This is simply top of the line at a modest price

Seasonic S12II 430W
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6817151074
Seasonic made. 30 amps 12V power. Only 80Plus bronze. $75 5 year warranty.
Doesn't compete well with the newer Rosewill Capstone, but it is Seasonic and brand loyalty is understandable.

I hope i fixed the links so others can check them out.

Well i already bought the 430 w Corsair

Should be fine despite the note, after all it is still in the recommended list.
I think the note is there only because Corsair has been switching
OEM's on some of their models & the forum is waiting for
updated lab tests.
