Upgrade? T6414

Hi, thanks for taking the time to read. My bother is eight and is using an old emachines T6414 with AMD Athalon 3200+ and 2 Gigs of Ram. I would like to know if there is any way to upgrade this system to make games playable? He likes minecraft, portal, and TF2. His monitor is 720p. I'm in college so my budget for him is around 100 USD. Thanks again for your time.

The processor is really old so i guess the motherboard is old too. Old motherboard = DDR2 and ddr2 ram is very expensive. Old processors aren't good anymore and a good one would be too expensive for nothing. If you really want to build him something okay, wait and get a budget of 200$.

Ok, Thanks. I was hoping that I could maybe put in a gpu for now and maybe reuse it when my budgt increased. just to old.

Nah a gpu won't help that much. The cpu would be really bottlenecking the system.
