First Time Server Build

Hello, going to do a first time server build and would like advice. Server will be used for network storage, backup, and media streaming.

Any advice? I will try and unlock the second core on the sempron, so will probably get an aftermarket cooler. Also, any recommendations on server software? Was probably going to go FreeNas. Finally will add a USB 3.0 card because I have a 2.0 TB external that will be primary storage drive for time being. Will use either a 2 year old SSD I have for primary if it has TRIM or a left over 650 GB hard drive I have for the system drive. Thanks

getting a two core system for the same price and a x7x mb that you can drop in a faster cpu or gpu if you want to turn in into a gaming rig.
