hello everyone. i Am looking to build a pc on my own for the first time in 10 years
and im little out of date with today hardware and prices. i have a i72700k still in the box that i purchased from microcenter for $219 and trying to build a gaming/digtal audio work station around it. since i have the capability to overclock that maybe i should...? My budget range is 600-700 dollars and my preferred websites are newegg and microcenter. if it helps id like it to run battlefield 3 and elder scrolls online on max settings.

Went with a good motherboard with 6 real phases
$10 over budget but the PSU can allow crossfire of the 7950 in the future

@ stickman

Pretty good build, but it has some issues.

MSI isn't known for their reliability. Boards are more likely to be DOA or crap out on you.

Additionally, that RAM would interfere with the the cooler, which is not as good as the 212 EVO.

The hard drive is from Microcenter which is fine if the OP is close to one to pick it up. If not, its best to order parts online.

If you have any more questions, just ask.

You can fit vengeance ram which is a bit taller than the g-kill ones withou issue on the 212+ done it my self
You can swap the mb for gigbayte one but I have had good experiences with MSI
There is a $100 seagate
