Hello,
I plan on putting an Asus GeForce GTX660 TI-DC2-2GD5 Nvidia Graphics Card (2GB, GDDR5, HDMI, DVI-I, DVI-D, Display Port, OpenGL 4.2, DirectX 11, Nvidia 3D Vision Surround Ready, PCI-Express 3.0) into my desktop which has Asus P5G41T-MLX Motherboard & Intel core2 quad cpu q8200 @2.33Ghz... as I am a novice at building could you tell me if they are compatible?

Quick googling shows your motherboard has a PCI-E x16 slot, so you can install any modern graphics card you want. If this is a system built by like a dell or an HP, your power supply might not be up to the task though (may not have enough or any 8 pin power connectors, or enough 12v power period). You may want to step up to a decent 500ish watt supply like the antec neo 520 or the XFX 550 watt 80 plus supplies.
