Hi, I am building a new computer for the sole purpose of Skyrim, and I new at choosing graphic cards. In the past, I've played Skyrim on Xbox 360 and it wasn't enough compared to the PC. That is why I am building a computer, and I would like to get a graphic card that has the capability of playing skyrim on max settings with everything turned up. Also, I will be using graphic enhancing mods. I do have the rest of the computer all I need the graphic card. I can go up to $400, but if have to, I will go above that.

I found these ones:
Gtx 660 ti

Gtx 670

Radeon 7970

Gtx 680
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
2x Gtx 650 ti

Please tell me which one is the best and/or what will be a better choice

Thank you

Ahh a game I spent a lot of time and effort to get to run the way I wanted.

First off, the single biggest impact item you could have to make skyrim run beautifully is a SSD. If you do not have one get one.

A 7950 would be an awesome choice, this gigabyte version has 3 free games and has excellent cooling. Overclocking it would put it on equal term with a gtx 670 while beign cheaper at $299.

skyrim is a a pretty easy game to run unless you have alot of mods so I would go for a 7870 ghz edition

on ultra it gets 70 fps and with the extra money you can get an ssd or other stuff however if you download lots of mods you need a lot of vrfam so I would go with this

3 gb of vram all you need for mods unless you will be using 100 mods cool vid btw

I have ran it with, and without a SSD.

The difference in smoothness is not even comparable.

If you have the budget, getting a SSD for gaming/boot drive is a considerable and worthy investment towards enjoyable gaming.
