wen i download the driver for my printer everything works until it gets to the part about the usb cable connection,i know for a fact i have everything set up right but it says theres no connection..

What operating system and printer? It makes a difference. Make sure that your plugged into the USB ports on the PC.

There may also be some problems with USB drivers for the motherboard. Some USB chipsets need a bit of help. Check for solutions at www.usbman.com

make sure that the printer is turned on before installation.

i don't think, this will be a problem with WINXP, it affects most 9x oses.

If it's a USB 2.0 connection, then you'll need to have installed WinXP SP1 for it to work correctly.
