2 Radeon 6670 Cards, 4 Monitors

Hello,

I'm trying to create a 2x2 landscape display format using eyefinity but cannot get it just right. I have 2 6670 cards and 4 monitors. Two monitors are connected via DVI and the other two are connected using an active display port to dvi adapter (accell b087b-002b). Now, can create two separate desktops, each 2x1. But I cannot create one large, 2x2 desktop, or even 3x1.

I thought I had done my research but I guess I missed something. Anyone have an idea of what went wrong with my setup?

This is not for gaming, more of a display wall with 4 monitors in a 2x2 square.

I don't think you can do eyefinity with multiple graphics cards. You can only combine the displays when all the monitors are connected to the same card.

You need to get a card that has two display ports and two other ports (like DVI or HDMI). I pretty sure that 2 DVI, 1 HDMI, and 1 Display Port will not work since a third or greater monitor requires a display port connection.

Have you tried the AMD/ATI "Hydra" software? It's an optional part of the driver package I believe. Also, try a Displayport w/o the converter if possible.

To do eyefinity you need at least 3 monitors driven off one card.
