I've recently received a computer purchased from CyberPower (specs will be posted later). The problem I'm having is that I get sporadic (as far as I can tell, there is no connection between them) black screen crashes. Problems started the day after I received and setup my computer (last Saturday, the 15th) The first happened when I was playing League of Legends. It's also very likely that I had a few browser tabs open as well. I use Chrome (if that means anything), by the way. The second time it happened, I was browsing. I cannot recall what I was browsing (a few news pages, I think, and some forums).
On a side note, I've received two other issues that may or may not be related to the black screens. Both occurred while I was watching live streams on Twitch.tv. My screen would turn a solid color (purple the first time, yellow the second) with dark, vertical lines running down the length of the screen.
My drivers are up to date (BIOS, Windows, AMD, peripherals). I've also monitored my temperatures. Sitting idle, the CPU stays around 17 (Celsius) and the entire system only a few degrees above that, generally.
Intel Core i5 3570K
AMD Radeon HD 7970
750W Corsair CMPSU-750TXV2 80 Plus
GIGABYTE Z77-DS3H Intel Z77
Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit)
I'll be frank; I'm really not sure how to troubleshoot these kinds of problems with computer systems. I hope I've provided enough information BUT I can provide more if it's needed. So far, I've tried very little to correct the problem other than checking hardware connections and ensuring that I have the most up-to-date drivers.
Any help you can provide me with is greatly appreciated!
