Incorrect format when playing some games on the pc

hen I try playing certain games the screen displays "Invalid Format" This never happens otherwise. My screen resolution is set to: 1920 by 1080 I set the game to run on 640 by 480 in order to try and solve the issue in the compatibility mode but that didn't help. the tv is set to "Just Scan" in the option's mode. "Troubled" games are The Walking Dead and Endless Space. Anyone else have this problem?

You can have the right resolution, but refresh rates (usualy 60Hz for 1080p HDTV) don`t match... that`s why you get Invalid format. Set it correctly in game and you will have no problem.
