Radeon 7950 hd driver problem

I recently built my first new computer and everything went well up until i installed the drivers for the GPU. After the install and restart i always get a black screen after the windows boot screen. I read a few articles on this problem but can't seem to find a direct answer. I was hoping someone familiar with this can help me out. Thanks in advance.

I dont think anybody can help you without any info about your system. Provide full specs and we may find an answer to your problem.

I just recently reinstalled windows for a friend and we ran into the same issue. He was using his HDTV for his monitor, and everything was fine until we installed the GPU drivers. Windows would boot but the screen was black. We had to go to the screen where you select safe mode, but pick the option to load windows in low resolution. Then we had a picture on his screen, but it was low quality. We just had to set the right resolution for his screen and restart. All was fine after. Hope this helps you out somewhat.
