All BF2 EA profile/stat Servers Down

Cant get a game of BF2 at the moment, all profile servers are down


gamespy says

"Due to EA's maintenance on their servers you may not be able to login
to the game. EA have announced that they expect to have servers
returned to normal within a couple of hours. We thank you for your
understanding in this matter as EA resolve the issue"

The smug, greedy idiots that are EA have been caught out again - they were
warned about this before the game's release - in fact a guy posted in this
NG about this very subject.

Problem is, we pay the price for *their* unwillingness to listen to the
community.

I bet their "fix" introduces further bugs/lag issues to the servers.
