I recently bought 2 Nokia 3410 phones, one for myself and one for my
wife.
After installing the SIMcards in both I got the remaining parts of the
card on which the code is written, mixed up, so that I now don't know
which is which....... :-(
Is there a way to find out, without ruining the function of the SIM
card, by for instance entering the WRONG PINcode 3x and then trying
out the PUKcode.
If I should make the wrong choice then I could immagine the function
of the SIMcard being disturbed permanently.
Any given advice would be grately appreciated.

Often carriers use the same default SIM PIN code - are the numbers on both
cards the same? Are they the last 4 digits of the phone number?

You have 3 tries to enter the correct PIN. Since you have 2 numbers
printed on cards, you will at most enter it incorrectly once in each
phone, so you should not have to worry about getting locked out.

After 3 incurrect tries the SIM locks itself. If that happens, call your
cellular carrier and get the PUK code. The SIM is not destroyed until ten
incorrect attempts at entering the PUK code have occurred.
