I'm running a SB Audigy Player on an XP machine

Processor is an Athlon 1 GHz (VIA chipset...)

The card installs fine, but I get NO sound unless I activate digital, at which point i get a constant static (with the soun being very very faint in the background, but the sound at least plays in this mode). An interesting bit is the constant static stopps if I mute digital CD in (but resumes whenever I play a sound file).

There is no difference if I switch to their posted XP drivers.

So... Is there some way to fix this? If not, where can I find an equivalent Turtle Beach card nearby? (In Germany. If I order international I end up paying 25-75 in shipping with 1-2 week delivery times... so much for pricewatch =/)

I'd switch back to my onboard sound but that locks up constantly when I'm running games.

Thanks GREATLY in advance for any help you guys can offer.
