I am running XP2 with SP2 installed.Drivers are up to date.The game installed
and movie plays, the circle does it's thing then I get ablack screen and an
audio beep.Esc takes me to windows.Been to ttlg web sit installed patch
,tried fixes, no help.Any help greatly appreciated.Thanx in advance.

If your using a P4 and HT then verify that the affinity for the game is
set to one processor. So execute the game, alt-tab back to desktop, hit
ctrl+alt+del, go to Task Manager, go to processes, right-click on the
Thief 2 process and set it to a single processor. Been awhile since I
did it and I don't have a dual processor machine to test again but that
worked for me back in 2000.
