For the 6870 AMD recommends, "500 Watt or greater power supply with two 75W 6-pin PCI Express power connectors"

If you tell us the maker and model of your PSU we can let you know more specifically whether it will be ok.

iCute has a variety of 500w models that vary in quality (some appear to be total garbage), but based on their website it appears that the different 500w models all seem to provide enough +12v amps for your system. When encountering unknown-quality PSUs, I usually recommend against using them. Getting a 500-600w from Seasonic, Antec, Corsair, XFX, or other quality vendors is a good idea that provides peace-of-mind. But, if you are stuck using the iCute, it does appear that the 500w models listed on iCute's website are rated to be adequate for the card.

I would like to see the an image of the power supply sticker if you can.

I have been seeing lots of 500 watt power supplies lately with under 300 watts(some WAY under) of 12 volt power.
