I have been a fan of PC Gaming since the Quake series. I built my first custom gaming rig back in 2010 and have been upgrading it ever since. I recently bought a 3D TV and naturally wanted to use it for gaming. My current rig won't run anything on high when connected to the TV so I am planning a new build. I have been saving for a few months and have money to spend. I know that with 3D gaming I need powerful Graphics cards and a good processor to handle the load. Here is the build list that I am planning on buying next week. Any input is greatly appreciated.

I decided to do a RAID Setup for my Solid State Drives mostly because I have always wanted to. Plus the preformance increase is pretty tempting. I am aware of the risk involved in doing so. I am not sure if i should grab an additional 500gb SATA drive for backups or not but i probably will end up getting one. I also Choose to crossfire the 7970's instead of purchasing a single 690 GTX Because of the price difference to preformance ratio. I do not plan on Overclocking the CPU unless I need to in the future. As you can see I have included links to everything as well as the price I found it for. Please let me know your oppinions because I don't want to spend $2,500 on a new computer and realize later that I could have built it better for the same amount of money.

That motherboard is not compatible with that cpu, it's a lga 2011 for a lga 1155 cpu.
Get the i5-3570K+Z77 motherboard,
Also i'd ditch that psu for this one : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182073
750W is suffice for two 7970.
You don't need 32GB of ram, for gaming, just get 8GB, a dual channel kit of 8GB(2x4GB).
Get a better single 256GB ssd like the samsung 840 pro or ocz vector, the samsung 840 has tlc nand, which is less reliable and slower under load vs mlc nand ssds, specially against the 840 pro or vector.

1KW is massive overkill for that rig, and that PSU is from a horrible vendor as well. Get a really high quality 750W - 850W.

Also that motherboard won't work with that CPU - you will need an i5-3570K and Z77 motherboard for gaming. X79 and Z77 are not compatible. There's also no reason to buy two SSDs - get one and then get a 1TB hard drive for storage.

Try this:

Ya I just noticed the Motherboard thing. Thanks for the advice. I do need a Blue-ray Burner though for my blue-ray disks since I am going to be setting this up on my TV. I like the case too. It looks pretty sleek.
