And no, I don't wanna hear about other GPU's. This isn't for me, and the guy's already made his decision.

How close are the slots? Will it leave 1, 2, or are they stacked on top of each other? If there is a space between them I would say you are fine.

I'm no expert expert, but here's the motherboard he's using. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B008LTB3KS/?tag=pcpapi-20

Would that work? Also, is there another, better motherboard?

That spacing is great for two cards, as long he doesn't do something strange with the other components.

Are there better motherboards? Maybe, but that's another topic (:

that looks fine to me. I you will get good cooling with that motherboard. Are you building this for him or what?

Actually it's a community effort... sorta. The guy is on the forums for a mod of Arma 2 called DayZ, and he is asking for advice on a new PC build. Three or four guys have made suggestions for graphics cards and parts, and I've kind of been the one overseeing the whole thing. He picked out most of the parts himself, with us making suggestions for his hardware. He's just asking for advice, then he's the one assembling it.

Oh, ok. Has he already ordered the parts?

It's unlikely. Why?

If he has not yet bought the Card.
Then tell him to get only 1 GTX 670. And wait for Next-gen.

If he liked a card from next-gen then he can sell his 670 and get those.
Or if he didn't then he can get another 670 fro real cheap at those time.

Couldn't he just sell his two 670's and get a next-gen card?

He will save money in the long run if he only buys one.
