Damn Vrally3, only game doesn't seem to want to run using nVidia 66.93
drivers.

Reverted back to older drivers and game runs but "sophistication" of driver
is deficient compared to newer driver when using multi-displays, e.g.
screwed up which was primary and had freq. trouble on secondary monitor.

Updated back to 66.93 and game ran. Open nVidia custom display dialog, check
what's what, exit and VRally3 fails to run with the

"Sorry there's been an unexpected ..." bs message.

After all these versions of DirectX/Windows, is there still no way to
actually track down "what's the problem"/"what setting to change" without
it being basically a matter of luck?

If the game works with an earlier driver version and does not with a
later driver version then the problem is most likely the drivers. Best
solution would be to contact Nvidia and notify them of the problem.
Good luck with that.....

Won't even try, knowing it's useless already :)

It'd be "nice" if MS would actually design their software and provide some
tools so one can determine what the problem is rather than one having to
more or less blindly swap "things" in and/or out hoping for the best.

Imagine if every time someone had problems with a mechanical device (e.g.
car, lawn mower etc.) they were told must be the driver, swap for another :)
