New system will only display with motherboard graphics

I have recently built a new system with the parts below. It functions normally without the graphics card installed and the monitor cable plugged in to the on-board graphics, but if I install the graphics card there is no display from the card or the onboard graphics. The case does not have a speaker so I'm not sure if there are any diagnostic beeps.

You need to enter your BIOS and tell it to output video to add in graphics.
