Will 660ti work with 8 pin power?

Hey guys this is the first time on this site asking a question, but i use it for reference all the time. I don't want to sound dumb asking this but I rather be safe than sorry!

I am looking into purchasing a new gfx card (Most likely the Galaxy 660ti) and i see that many of these cards use two 6 pin power connectors. My PSU has a 6 pin with a 2 pin add-on so currently I am worried if my PSU will be compatible! please help!

Yes it will work The card itself doesn't require more than 150w So I guess you should be fine.

No. Your graphics card requires one 8 pin and one 6 pin to work and that PSU is mediocre at best. Your computer should refuse to turn on.

Yes it will work The card itself doesn't require more than 150w So I guess you should be fine.

i am not saying that is WRONG; i am pointing out that BOTH 6 pin power connections need to be used.

the card most likely will come with a 4 pin molex to 6 pin PCI power adapter, that will suffice for the second connection.
