I was thinking of upgrading to either the 6870 or the 6950 but am not sure on which to choose. I haven't been able to find a 6950 to buy so if you guys could recommend any websites which are safe and reliable, that would be greatly appreciated. I am going to buy a Corsair Enthusiast 650W PSU to power either of the cards. I am hoping to be able to play games like Skyrim, BF3 and Farcry 3 at medium or high settings depending on whether I get 35+ fps or preferably 45+fps. One more thing; would my i3 2100 be capable of handling these cards?

Might I suggest a 7850. 6950 are very hard to find and the 7850 offers better value.

If you're looking to get those FPS, and play on medium/high, a 6870 will be fine. If you wanted to go much higher, though, a 6950 would perhaps be better.

No it will not bottleneck.
7850 is a better choice.

Ok thanks. Is it ok that my mobo has PCI-E 2.0 and the card has 3.0?

The Card can work backward.
It means that 3.0 will work on 2.0 and 1.1 too.

You are good to go. ;)
