Hi. I just wanted to ask if the Nvidia Geforce GTX 650 2GB is a good card for gaming and if it can run all the latest games on medium settings and is it better than the Nvidia Geforce GTX 550ti or AMD Radeon HD 6790??

Solution
they are roughly equivalent, but 2gb on a gtx 650 is pretty much a waste that they charge you $30-40 more for. The 2gb 650's start at about $125. For that money, you could get a HD 7770, which outperforms all 3 cards.

I have it and its not good for 1920 X 1080 resolution, however, in 1600 X 900 its great. Can max all games with a playable fps except those demanding ones like BF3, FC3 for example. However, I second quilciri opinion about getting an HD 7770, it will preform better. The GTX 550ti is the same as the 650 in performance. I have both operating on two different PCs and they both get me the same fps in same games.

Ok sorry i didnt include my specs before. My specs are:

Processor: Intel Core 2 duo E6750 @ 2.60 GHZ

RAM: 4 Gb

Monitor: Dell 22".

PSU: Antec 650w.

P.S: I prefer to play games at 1680 x 1050 but 1280 x 1024 is also ok. :)

Don't expect good gaming on a system like that, Core 2 Duo? Forget about it. Your going to need at least an i3 core CPU, preferably a quad. 8GB of RAM is standard these days, you HAVE to have that much if you expect decent results.

but then again, it all depends on what your trying to game on, if it's simple undemanding games like WoW or Minecraft and such, then requirements aren't as nearly as demanding, but Battlefield 3? Arma 2? Warfighter? Your going to need much more serious components.
