Display driver stopped responding and has recovered

I'm getting really annoyed by this issue. I have been having this problem ever since I built this computer. I have gotten a new hard drive, case, RAM, and a video card but I'm still having this issue. The only consistent parts are my motherboard, CPU, and power supply. I will gladly give someone $50 on paypal if they are able to help me diagnose and fix the problem.

Video Card - SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 6870 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102909

RAM - CORSAIR 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145218
two of these

SSD Drive - OCZ 120GB SATA III http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227729

I also have three other Western Digital hard drives connected.

I have read this could be caused by a power issue, I was having the same issue when I was running an old HD 4000 series and with only 2 gigs of RAM. I'm worried that it might be a motherboard issue, but I have no idea how to test it without going out and buying a new one. I have gone through several versions of AMD drivers including ones from Sapphire's site. My case is nice and open with plenty of air flow. I am at my wits end with this. It pops up every other minutes while I'm playing a game and sometimes it causes the game to crash.

Any ideas on what I could try?
