I was just looking at a used ASUS Essentio CM5675-07 Desktop today.

Although I'm now pretty convinced I'm going to tackle my first build from scratch...I'm wondering if an ASUS Essentio CM5675-07 (Intel Core i5-650 3.2GHz) has any potential, as a gaming machine?

Granted..It would need an upgrade to the 300w power supply....plus add a decent 3D graphics card.

ASUS Essentio CM5675-07 Desktop PC Intel Core i5 650 (3.20GHz) 8GB DDR3 1TB HDD Capacity Intel HD Graphics Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Here are the specs:

That looks like a decent card. Would I be able to achieve good results if it were paired up with the system?

I'm still leaning on doing a build...but I'd consider using the ASUS Essentio CM5675-07...just as long as it would meet the requirements to run games like DDO.com and Tera online set at a higher graphics setting level.

The bigest factor for me is that I have never built my own gaming PC before and a little intimidated to takle the project.

I'm thinking I can do it but I always seem to run into problems and issues whenever I try something (like this)...way out of my league. I'm not at all a tech person.

I would be interested in seeing this list. I own this PC, but mine only came with 6GB DDR3 I have tweaked it slightly with a Rocket Fish RF-500wps2 power supply and a PNY xlr8 GTX 470 graphics card. the performance was great for a few years, but I fear I have burned up my graphics card by trying to overclock it. I replaced it with a Pny xlr8 GTX 650. Now I am pretty unhappy with it. Now I want to make it scream. Im willing to spend a little coin, but not break the bank. Any suggestions on possible upgrades? Would it be better for me to just start over?
