looks to be pretty solid. Just one thing to mention if you buy the mobo at newegg you get the 8gb Crucial free .

That 7870 is terrible expensive, at that price, you can get a 7950, which is much better, also you can save some by switching the psu, it's overkill, and other stuff and get a 128GB ssd, my suggestion : http://pcpartpicker.com/p/CwwU
The ram here : http://us.ncix.com/products/?sku=74758
The case : http://us.ncix.com/products/?sku=75045&promoid=1332
The hdd : http://us.ncix.com/products/?sku=74462&promoid=1312
Ncix offers free shipping with 100$ in the cart.
The case is a quality one, and silent, patriot ram offers lifetime warranty, the rest on pcpartpicker includes a high quality modular psu with more amps for two 7950, cheaper and as good keyboard, dvd.

The pricing on some of that stuff isn't 100% accurate, I've actually got it priced out with that build for about 1240$ then 80$ in rebates off of that...

Graphics card is only going to end up being 215$
Mobo for 75$
Ram 35$

Getting the Asus optical just because I want it to say asus on it honestly lol...

Couple other things are different priced, but those are two of the bigger ones.

Are you going to a microcenter store ?
Anyway i'd get at least the 7870 tahiti le or even that 7950 for gaming.
Check the parts that are cheaper, the case is a steal at that price(60$), it's usually more than 100$, for the fractal design R4.
The hdd probably is cheaper there.

Yeah, I'll be stopping by a microcenter store for the majority of it.

I've considered going with one of the 79xx gpus, but wasn't sure if I wanted to spend the extra on them or not.

Was actually considering going up the 650d case, but still not set on which I want to get, I'll look into the fractal case though.
