Better gaming performance?

I am planning on building my first gaming rig in a couple months and i have a budget of about $700 including the os. I am looking to get the best possible performance for the money on games like Battlefield 3 and arma 2.

My first build i went with a lower CPU and a better GPU: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Csv8

In my second build i have most of the same parts as in the first but i went with an intel i5 CPU and a lower GPU and puhed my budget a bit: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Cpvm

I was just wondering if i would be fine on all the new games FPS wise on high/ultra settings with a 1600x900 res (900p i believe).

You could get an i5 3470. That will take $25 out of your pc, you then may be able to afford to get a 7870.
