Gaming on my laptop or which of these PCs?

Hi guys, ive been looking for a desktop for gaming better than my laptop and that i can keep plugged into my tv so i can watch movies off of it and such, and ive came across these two auctions tha fit my budget:

CPU speed: 3.3 GHz

CD / DVD: CD + DVD writer

- Genuine Windows 7 64 Bit
- AMD Phenom II X6 1055T
- G Skill Ripjaws 4GB DDR3 RAM

- Gigabyte 880GM-USB3 Motherboard (2 slots of USB 3.0)
- With ANTEC mini P180 case (front, back, and top fans)

CPU speed: 3.3 GHz
Cores: 6
Memory: 8 GB
Hard drive: 750 GB
CD / DVD: CD + DVD writer
It is approx. 1 year old. It has the following specs:

CPU: AMD FX-6100 6 physical cores running at 3.3 GHz with standard CPU cooler

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2P V5. see Gigabyte website for specs.

Ram: 8 gig – 2 x 4gig sticks – G-Skill matched pair/set F3-128000CL9-4GBXL

Video Card: Sapphire AMD RAEDON HD 5670 1gig with VGA/DVI/HDMI outputs

Hard Drive: 750gig Seagate ST3750528AS SATA

CASE: Standard Micro Black PC Case with multi-card reader & cooler master RS-700 700watt power supply. PC is very quiet.

Windows: Genuine Windows 8 pro with disks & COA. Come with free antivirus software. No office suite etc. installed

Would any of these be good? if not i just wont bother and save up for another while to build a good desktop but id like a desktop, it doesnt have to be ownage but needs to be powerful. My laptop is sandy bridge i5 2.5ghz with radeon hd 7670 2gb graphics 4gb ram, so these computers beat mine or should i save my money and just keep using my laptop? thanks to any answers!!

  1. keep using your laptop and save up, it's pretty good and the two PCs you're looking at are, more or less, a waste of money right now in my opinion. it depends on how much they cost of course...
