Hello All!,

My current system is:
I5 3570K
16 gigs RAM
MSI Z77 MB
2 TB HD
550 Ti
27 Inch 1920x1080 monitor

What I need help deciding on is what graphics card will give the best performance/cost bang for my buck for the monitor listed above. I play skyrim, bf3, MoH warfighter, to name a few. I'd like to be able to play BF3 on ultra. I do not have plans of doing a multi monitor setup but would like to be setup just in case. Finally would it worth it to just wait until the next series comes out in a few months?

Thank You!

The key question is how much do you want to spend?

The GTX 670 is currently a very good value.

If you decide to wait for the AMD refresh then you might be waiting a couple of months. Normally, AMD will put out the high end cards first (and at a premium price) and then slowly release slower and more moderately priced cards.

jsrudd,

I like the 670 and the 7970. I am not a huge fan of either. I got my 550 Ti because it was only $99 when I bought it, when outside of the sale window it was $199. Would it be possible for you to give me your top picks so I can whittle them down please?

+1 to jsrudd - the GTX670 is a thing of beauty. That's what I'd buy right now if I wasn't waiting for next year's models (specifically I'd grab the EVGA FTW Edition).

Yup,

I'm tracking the FTW is a great deal. I know its all speculation but when are the next cards suppost to drop?
