Affordable gaming pc

I want to play games and I changed my 8800 gtx for an 650 gtx.
I thought that I wasn`t need to change motherboard and CPU but im having a lot of problems playing at 1080p

At the moment i have:
Motherboard: ASUS M2N-E
Video Card: Gigabyte GTX 650 OC 2Gb
Processor: AMD Phenom X4 Processor 9500
SSD: 119GB SanDisk
Ram:4 GB DDR2 334MHz
Power Supply: Tecnimax ATX 600W

What to upgrade in my computer at a reasonable price?

For games AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black it`s better than Intel Core i3-3220?
I dont know how many cores uses the games i`m actualy playing (SWTOR and Dota 2)
  3. no it aint, but you asked for a budget upgrade, and that is the cheapest and most affordable way to go. unless you wonna list a budget then we can see how far you will go?
  4. Phenom ii X 4 965 3.4ghz on newegg is 84.99 (with promo code EMCYTZT2907), if you do decide to go with gussrtk's advice, save a couple extra dollars.
  5. dude......get a recent video card driver.....you don't have to change yet. Go to www.geforce.com.
  6. also get better RAM.....you are using DDR2-664.....while in fact you should be DDR2-800 or DDR2-1066

If the preformance increase substantially for a little more money, it's ok
  9. If u wish then look into an i5-3450 (no overclocking possible) a simple mobo 70~90bucks and %skill ram will come to around 300~350 for the upgrade. I5 will do much better. But you can take the amd and jus oc it, get good performance and a lot better value for your money, I really am looking as to just keep this build going and not wasting money.

and now you see where it comes to... if you have microcenter beside you. i think they have 3570k i5 CPU on special for 189$ which is like same price as 3450... if you can do that.. it would be even better. sorry i just saw it
