i highly doubt that anyones used it yet...
heat spreaders are a good idea though.

but ive sent an email to toms editors saying we need a review of all PC2700 ram brands out there... so maybe we will get lucky.

P.S. kingmax is testing its PC3200 ram now... might be out soon :-D

A lot of people are usign it to overclock the hell out of their 166MHz+ FSB motherboards. PC3200 would be better however, as then you can run an Athlon (XP) with a 200MHz (400MHz DDR) FSB! That would be sweet! Plus the fact that with an FSB that high, the Athlon XP would spank a 600MHz -800MHz faster Northwood.

:) indeed
when i saw that the leadtek had 200/200/33 and 166/166/33 i got extra interested....

but i gotta be reasonable... its gonna be quite some time before we see PC3200 ram capable of running with HARD memory timings.

166/166/33 with cas 2 and hard settings will do fine :)

wonder how much it will speed up my Divx encoding hehe

I'm will to bet that PC3000 can reach 400MHz if the memory voltage is raised to 3V. You might need an active RAM cooler, though.

well the OCZ does come with heat spreaders.
a good idea incase one also accidentally touches a chip. could save your bacon.

but 400mhz doesnt really hold much intrest for me if i cant do it with the hardest ram timings.

if u have seen some of the benchmarks for the 7350KDA it shows that 145 @ ultra spanks considerably 150 @ hard.

so its ultra or nothing.

im assuming that the PC3000 will have no troubles doing 'ultra' at 166mhz?

hehe, I'm seeing a lot of reviews where the RAM can't handle Ultra2 on the IWill XP333.

my Kingmax pc2700 can't handle turbo mode on my soyo p4s ultra either I'm almost tempted to upgrade to 2 sticks of corsair cas 2.0 but at 270 + shipping I think I'll wait

yeah... its natural progression.
remember when PC2100 came out?
took ages to find sticks of PC2100 @ cas2 in your average shop.
