I think you have the wrong cpu, if you want to overclock the cpu, get the i7-3770k : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116501

Also i'd get an air cooler rather than a closed loop watercooler, the aircoolers will have better temperatures, no risk of leaks.

That psu has been reported with clicking noises, and it's now made by channel well, i'd get the rosewill capstone 750M : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182264
It's a high quality psu made by super flower, and it's modular.

Thank you. It's funny that you pointed out the two items I was most on the fence about (cpu and cooler) and suggested my other two choices so I think I'll change them. As for the psu I'm looking into your recommended and I plan on getting a ssd a month or so down the road. Thanks again I'm a newb to the hardware side of things.

You might want the ssd now, for installing the os and the applications for editing, it will improve drastically, instead of installing again the os and other stuff on the ssd later.
