I am not getting this Active DisplayPort adapter. I am using the two DVI ports for two screens and want to add a 3rd screen using one of the HDMI ports on the Radeon. So do I need to get an active adapter with an HDMI connection on one end and a DVI, HDMI or VGA connector on the other end? And then a cable from the monitor to the adaptor?

Thanks

Yes , the addition of a 3rd screen requires the use of an active display port adapter (your choice of type as long as its active). Unless your monitor has a Display port that is.

I have two DVI connections (using those) and two HDMI connections on the 5800 Radeon. So will the display port adapter plug into the HDMI connection?
