HDD will only create new volumes, not partitions, Help!

Hello,


I just built my first computer, I have a 128 gb SSD with my OS on it and a 1 tb HDD for other stuff. My computer (BIOS and Windows) sees that there is a 1 tb HDD there, it just says unallocated and when I right click it, all it does is say "New Simple Volume..." and properties.

I can not store anything to it and it does not show up on "My Computer"

How do I make it an accessible usable drive? like "M:/" or whatever.

Also what things should I download to my SSD and what should I not. I thought I read that games and OS are the only things to put on there.
