There are a very few mini-ITX motherboards available with 990 series chipsets .
I think asrock made one

If you can find one you can expect very similar performance from an AMD FX 6300 or higher processor than you would from any intel build with the same graphics card

more like bf3 wow crysis that kinda stuff i wanted a mitx but i kept having a hard time finding a good mobo for amd and im probable gonna put a 7800 series gpu in it so what amd cpu and mobo would be a good fit for it?

I did a search for a suitable motherboard and couldnt find any for an AMD build

I would tend to use an intel i5 [ not the overclocking kind since heat will be an issue ]
Probably the 3470 or 3550

And a mini-ITX motherboard with an H77 chipset

The only AMD mini-ITX boards I can find are FM2 , so the most powerful processor you could use would be the A10 5800K

Alternatively, they could get the A10 and a midrange Radeon card that could run in asymmetrical crossfire with the IGP. That would get very good performance for the money. I think right now the only card that crossfires with the A10 is the HD 6670, but someone should double check that.
