Hi all,
Was wondering if someone knows what might be wrong with my phone, a
Nokia 6230.
When you switch it on, it works just fine for up to about 30 minutes.
After this, if someone rings me, the phone vibrates and the screen
shows the incoming call. However the ringtone stays silent and when I
accept the call it just cuts the other person off.
The fault is apparent, whether bluetooth is on or off, and no matter
what MMC card I have in, or none at all.
When this occurs, you have to reboot the phone to get it working
again. It has been doing this for a few weeks now. Never dropped it.
Software version 03.15 if that helps. On Orange (UK).
Any help would be appreciated.
Paul

That's an early version. Get it to a service centre under guarantee (take
the docs Orange sent you) and they'll update it for nothing.

Mine is a later version and it's still flaky and inclined to disconnect with
a "SIM missing" message.

Shame, if it worked it'd be a great phone.

Will do. My first one had an internal clock fault that meant it would not
take an upgrade, my replacement one now needs the upgrade to work properly.
Just a matter of finding the time to get it to a service centre...

Check that the phone is not set to autoanswer.
It might be that the hone is answering, and when you press to answer
manually that you are actually ending the call.
