Hello,
would this be a viable PC?
Amd fx 8320
Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3
Corsair CX750M 750 watt PSU
Corsair xms3 vengeance DDR3 1600 mhz 16 gb ram (2*8gb)
SApphire radeon hd 7950

I have the case and the fans and the cpu comeswith a cooler (I believe)

Would this work for Crysis 3, BF3, Skyrim, future games?

I can get this for around 620 pounds or 980 dollars. I live in sweden so please don't post american shops.

Also, is there any way to Crossfire (for lack of a better term) the APU and the GPU.

P.S. Should I get this system or wait for new tech.

And finally, are there any better intel/nvidia, AMD/Nvidia, Intel/AMD combos for the same price?

Thanks

Yes it will, With that mobo u can OC pretty well as well not that you'd need it, I've seen WAY less builds that plat Skyrim/bf3, Are you looking to buy a PC? if you need help with anything this would be the place to ask.

Yeah, I am probably going to buy a new pc. Current specs are core 2 quad q6600, 4gb ddr2 1066mhz ram, 430 watt psu (ANTEC), GA-EP45-UD3L, ATI firepro v3750. I was going to update my current rig, but i thought it wouldn't be good enough for games on ultra, even with 8gb ram and a new graphics card.
Thanks for the quick response.

Webhallen, komplett, netonnet, Inet, CDON, Pixmania, Amazon (UK)are all stores I can buy from.

There is not *APU Crossfire* as the Piledriver processor has no SIMD engine array on die.

A GB 970 -UD3 motherboard will be fine ... you may use the additional funds for aftermarket cooling.

Or, spend it on your GF.

Thanks for the response. Is it possible that the next series of cpu's will be able to lend APU resources to the GPU, or is that unlikely?

By the way, I don't have a girlfriend. I'm 15 and I don't plan on getting into a relationship for another few years at least.

It is a safe guess that the FX-series (AM3+) processor line will eventually evolve into one processor line to include the graphics cores available on the A-series (FMx) processors, BUT ...

The next-gen FX -Steamroller- for AM3+ (late 2013) will not have graphics on the chip. The next-gen A-series APU (called Kaveri) will have Cape Verde GCN graphics cores (think: HD7750) with Steamroller CPU cores -- but no L3 cache. The two processor 'sockets (AM3+/FMx) will still be different.

As far as *APU resources* AMD is developing what is called the HSA arch which allows for direct memory addressing by system components (including the discreet graphics card). The FX-series is incorporating something called IOMMU to accomplish this ...

will the 550 watt psu power the cpu, 8gb ram, and the 7950?
