Screen resolution keeps changing windows 7

I have a Samsung SyncMaster monitor and an Acer Aspire 3910 desktop computer. The native resolution is 1680x1050. when my monitor slleps and is awaken, the resolution go back to 800x600. I do a virus check everyday. Please help.

have you tried manually setting the resolution to the native?
