7680x1440 works fine - but not 5760x1080?

Hi guys,

I recently put together a new computer build with a GTX 690 and 3 monitors ASUS PB278Q 27in IPS LED.

Setting up surround mode I can get the resolution of 7680x1440 (that's 2560x1440 x3) working great. BUT, I can't find anyway of setting up 5760x1080 (1920x1080 x3).

Obviously 5760x1080 will work a lot better for newer games (higher FPS), so it would be nice if I could get it working.

It's worth noting that the native resolution of my monitors is in fact 2560x1440 so perhaps this just isn't possible. If I go into the nVidia control panel, and set each monitor to run @ 1920x1080, and then try to turn on surround, they all still revert back to 2560x1440.

All 3 monitors are plugged into the DVI slots on the GTX 690 directly with no adapters at all. I'm not making use of the DP slot.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Cheers,
Dave.

I figured it out - in the nVidia Control Panel, after setting the bezel correction, click on "Add or remove resolutions", and you can add the extra surround resolutions.

I didn't think about this because with my old ATI Eyefinity setup, games detected all available resolutions automatically. With nVidia you have to select them in the Control Panel manually.

Thanks anyway guys!
