Computer help please?!

Hi i have had a custom built computer for 2 years now and recently i am having problems playing pc games. When i am playing games randomly it would either go to white screen, black screen, lag, or go to the desktop, this is very annoying. Usually a message comes up saying
"Display driver NVIDIA windows kernel mode driver version 310.10 stopped responding and has successfully recovered"

The PC games this problem has occurred is;
Skyrim
Age of empires 3
Half life 2
All total war series (expect medieval 2)
Company of heroes

I have left all the information i have collected and any help will be greatly appreciated!

First suspect would be overheating.
Download Hardware monitor and run it in the background to monitor temps. Play your game until it errors and report back the max temps for CPU and GPU .

CPU Core 3 - Value(°C) = 43, Max Value(°C) = 49
CPU Core 4 - Value(°C) = 39, Max Value(°C) = 45
GPU Core - Value(°C)= 69, Max Value(°C) = 74

I am assuming that the max value is what the temperatures were at when the driver stopped working. the value decreased because it took me about 30 secs to a min to get the results.

Happens with lots of People here.
Same with AMD Drivers.

I guess it is a Problem caused by the OS.
Try Reinstalling, this time Clean Install.

I just did a clean install then and the game i went on still lagged and went to a white screen.
