So I'm attempting to update my graphics card driver because the device manager tells me that I need to and Catalyst tells me every time I boot up that I have no driver for my card or it isn't working. I get this exact message " No AMD graphics driver is installed, or the AMD driver is not functioning properly. Please install the AMD driver appropriate for your AMD hardware". However, I've downloaded and installed the latest beta driver already. Also, when I try to search for the latest driver in the device manager, it tells me my driver is already up to date. Nothing seems to work and I really need help. I have a Radeon HD 7850 graphics card.

download gpu-z see if it see your video card. also before you boot into windows turn the pc off and see if all the power cables to the video card are connected and the card is seated into the pci slot and the fan on the gpu is moving.

gpu-z was able to detect my video card and the fan on the gpu was moving. Everything seemed to be in order.

try updating your mb chipset drivers.may have a damaged pci bus driver not letting the video card be seen.

Just updated all my chipset drivers.

Hi,

Try booting in safe mode, remove all ati graphic drivers.

reboot.

Try installing new one.

Did you have any problems before ?

What your gear config ?
