Broken pci express slot.. can i still use my mobo?

I feel pretty stupid but hopefully now that the lesson has been learned I won't make the same mistake again. I went to remove my graphics card while it was still locked into place and i pulled out the whole pci express slot. The plastic ripped off and now I'm left with bent exposed pins. None of them are touching eachother and I did get my computer to start and even play some crysis2 running from the backup x8 slot.
Here's the question though- RMA isnt going to be an option. They'll def consider this my error, and rightly i suppose they should. Just a shame that I've already eff'd up my build of less than a month. Can i still safely use this board? It appeared to work for the few minutes that i played with it after the accident.. I just dont want to further damage anything.
