PSU for this GPU?!

Hi, i'm just wondering if this PSU is compatible with this GPU. I am worried because in the description of the psu it says it only has one 6 pin pci-e connector, but then says it has another 6+2 pci-e connector. So what i really mean is do i just use the 6 pin and the 6+2 pin and plug them both in to power the GPU and leave the 2 pin leftover out or?...

550 watts its enough for the 7870 but you need 8 pin plug in like the one in this
picture :
